University of the Philippines Visayas Language Program (UPV LP) recently concluded its first-ever webinar series to train the UPV College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) employees in English communications at the workplace.

In order to be more capable of doing biosurveillance activities, the Philippine Genome Center Visayas received 92.6M funding from the Department of Budget and Management to enhance and expand its biosurveillance efforts through timely whole genome sequencing (WGS) of clinical samples.

“These flexible learning materials will surely equip the faculty of the University of Antique to adapt to the new normal. Because Antique is a province largely located in a coastal area, strengthening the expertise of the province in fisheries will equip policymakers in crafting sustainable programs in the industry.”

UP Tacloban’s Leyte Samar Heritage Center (LSHC) has launched Hisgut Kalibungan, a seven-part monthly online discussion series on urgent environmental issues and concerns in Eastern Visayas and beyond. The series aims to assist in articulating informed policy initiatives for environmental conservation, management, and sustainable development in Region 8 by fostering dialogue and cooperation among concerned institutions and communities.

The University of Philippines Visayas Office of Alumni Relations (UPV OAR), in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences -Division of Humanities (HumDiv), streamed multiple films produced and directed by UPV faculty, students, and alumni during the online alumni homecoming last August 27, 2021.
