Quality Assurance is a must for higher education institutions. UP, as a national university, has embedded quality assurance in its system through the Internal Academic and Assessment Development System (iAADS) and other quality check mechanisms for its academic programs. Its quality assurance system provides ways to ensure, maintain and enhance academic excellence in the university.
In UPV, the Quality Assurance Committee was constituted to be responsible for the overall quality standards of the University’s academic programs and its support services. It shall guard the management goals at all levels and ensure that key users implement and modify processes, procedures and standards.
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs held an activity entitled Workshop on Program Redesign, Blended Learning and Quality Assurance on 12 August 2022 at the UPV Little Theater, Iloilo City Campus.
The UPV Academic Assessment and Development Committee (AADC) conducted a series of orientations on quality assurance and program assessment for faculty members.
The Office of Student Affairs held a two-day seminar-workshop on the office's role in establishing a quality assurance system in UPV using the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) is one of the constituent units of the UP System. It has campuses in Miagao, Iloilo; Iloilo City; and Tacloban City — with Miagao being the main campus where the central administration offices are located.
