Roberto “Ka Dodoy” Ballon, the 2021 Ramon Magsaysay Award-winning fisher from Kabasalan town, Zamboanga Sibugay, will address the graduating class of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) on July 9, 2024 at the UPV Covered Court, Miagao campus.

A group of Math198.2 students under the supervision of Dr. Arnel L. Tampos and Assistant Professor Kent Christian A. Castor of the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM) presented their research papers through poster presentation at the 2024 Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) Annual National Convention. The Office of Continuing Education and Pahinungod (OCEP) organized an orientation forum on RA 10912, known as the Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016 last 27 June 2024 at the Audio Visual Room of the Graduate and Continuing Education Building, UP Visayas (UPV), Iloilo City campus. This activity was organized in response to the Memorandum Circular No. 07 Series of 2017 by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), calling for all government agencies to apply for accreditation as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider.
