USWAG Ilonggo Party-list’s P20.243-million project to build a multipurpose building (sports and recreation facility) for the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) broke ground at the UPV Iloilo City campus on Sept. 9, 2024.

Luke Dranoel D. Atencio, University Researcher and Microbiologist at the Regional Research Center, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) excels at the 17th Asia-Pacific Biosafety Association (APBA) Annual Biorisk Conference. The conference, held alongside the BioRisk Association of the Philippines (BRAP) 7th Annual Convention and 5th International Forum from September 2 to 6, 2024, gathered global experts to discuss critical advancements in biosafety and biosecurity. 

Armed with skills in instructional planning and competencies in English language teaching, first-year students enrolled in the Master of Education English as a Second Language (MEd ESL) program at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) conducted a two-day demonstration teaching session on August 17-18, 2024, at GCEB 31-A, UPV Iloilo City campus.

The University of the Philippines Visayas Museum of Art and Cultural Heritage (UPV MACH) received another artwork donation. Architect and artist Oscar J. Peñasales turned over his untitled abstract acrylic painting to OICA Director Martin Genodepa recently following the signing of the Deed of Donation.
