Atty. Christopher Honorario, a faculty member of the College of Management and the outgoing dean, is the sole nominee for the next dean of the College. On September 4, 2024, he presented the college's accomplishments and his action plans at CM Rooms 21-25, UP Visayas, Iloilo City campus.

He began by recognizing the faculty and staff of the college, highlighting their educational achievements, awards received, and service contributions. He also mentioned that a proposal for revising curricular offerings and programs is in the final stages.

Atty. Honorario proudly recognized the impressive board exam results of the BS Accountancy program.

Among the projects he highlighted were webinar workshops, research initiatives, and public service activities. He also noted the annual alumni homecoming event, which was successful and saw participation numbers exceed expectations.

Students and alumni were also recognized for their awards and achievements. Atty. Honorario praised the annual marketing convention organized by the Marketing students, noting that it is a student-initiated and self-funded event.

Following the presentation of the college’s accomplishments, Atty. Honorario outlined his vision paper for the role of dean of the College of Management. His eight-point agenda for fostering a home of change-makers includes: strengthening curricular program offerings; increasing research productivity; developing instructional materials and learning modules; amplifying public service initiatives; implementing programs for student welfare; enhancing faculty expertise and advancing the professional development of support staff; promoting good governance; implementing income-generating activities; and strengthening alumni linkages.

Atty. Honorario entertained questions from the faculty, staff, and students. Among the topics addressed were the challenges he faced as dean, his plans for faculty succession, and the potential transfer of the College of Management to Miagao.

In the afternoon, the Search Committee met separately with faculty, staff, and students to discuss their concerns. Additionally, the Search Committee conducted sectoral consultations with alumni and individual consultations on September 5.
