Faculty Regent Carl Marc Ramota dialogued with members of the faculty and the Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) in UP Visayas during the two-day Ugnayan / Ikot Unyon: Usapang Guro at Pamayanan | Konsultasyon at Oryentasyon, which started on April 13 at the Iloilo City campus.

The UP Visayas Graduate School held an orientation for the Doctor of Philosophy in Music program on April 10, which was attended by 14 interested student applicants. The PhD in Music, to be taught by professors from the UP College of Music, Diliman, will begin this coming SY 2023-2024.

The College of Management (CM), UP Visayas once again aced the national championship of this year’s L’Oréal Brandstorm 2023: Crack the New Codes of Beauty Philippines National Finals.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) and Lorenzana Food Corporation (LFC) will collaborate for the advancement of the technology known as “Low Salt-Fermented Mussel Sauce” to be commercially ready. 

Several alumni of the UP High School in Iloilo met with UPV Chancellor Clement C. Camposano on March 30, 2023 to support the Adopt-a-Room project of the University. 

Last March 25, 2023, the UPV-Sibika Hub held a poster making contest and a forum with the theme "Empowering Citizens Through Civic Education" at the University of the Philippines Visayas Little Theater, Iloilo City campus.

Dr. Alicia P. Magos, professor emeritus of UP Visayas, was named one of the fellows of the Saliksik Kasaysayan: A Fellowship Program to Develop a Compendium of Philippine History. 

Chancellor Clement C. Camposano, PhD, representing UP Visayas, signed a memorandum of agreement with the Principal of St. Louise De Marillac School of Miagao, Dr. Evelyn B. Nufable, to seal an agreement pertaining to the work immersion of senior high school students coming from the private school.

The UP Visayas University Library received a grant from UPMASA in the amount of 1.2 million pesos for the set up of the UPV Archives Section in the new UPV Library building.  The project was made possible on the initiative of Ms. Analiza G. Linaugo, University Librarian, and through the effort of UPMASA with the help of Mrs. Elvie Estampador-Gildea and Dr. Nerita Ulep.
