The Community Outreach Program—Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (COP-BIDANI) of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of the Philippines Visayas conducted the Barangay Management Information System (BMIS) Training on March 22 at Sealips Restaurant and Inland Resort, Barangay Poblacion, San Dionisio, Iloilo.

Prof. Alice Joan G. Ferrer, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) and the Executive Director of the National Consortium for Small-Scale Fisheries Research and Development or Too-Big-To-Ignore Philippines, was invited as one of the resource speakers of the back-to-back activities of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) from 12-15 March, 2024 in Quezon City.

Prof. Alice Joan G. Ferrer, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the University of the Philippines Visayas, was one of the speakers of the First Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Marine Industry Development Forum and China-ASEAN Mariculture Industry Development Forum held at Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China last 5-7 March 2024.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) was awarded the Bronze and Silver Award for its efforts in the field of intellectual property (IP) and innovation from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) during the 2024 Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSO) Presidents’ Summit at the Dusit Thani Hotel Manila on March 18, 2024.
