The UPV Taekwondo (TKD) team’s Pioneering Batch has truly made herstory in the recent RSCUAA competition, claiming four gold medals and securing the overall women’s champion trophy despite entering the competition with only three players. Competing in just two categories, they outshone their rivals with a combination of precision, technique, and unwavering determination.
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), through the UPV Action Research Project (UPV ARP), the Department of Education Schools Division of Iloilo (DepEd SDO-Iloilo), and the Iloilo Provincial Government launched two educational modules on youth formation and development at Casa Real de Iloilo on 13 December 2024. The UPV Action Research Project team guided the grassroots teacher-writers in developing the Voter Education Instructional Modules (VEIM) and the Career Guidance Instructional Modules (CGIM).
The UPV Badminton Team continued its winning streak at the Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association VI (RSCUAA-VI) Sports Festival, clinching a gold medal in the men’s division, a bronze in the women’s division, and finishing as the men’s second runner-up overall. The competition, held at the Iloilo Tigers Badminton Center in La Paz, Iloilo City, ran from December 16 to 18.
