Prof. Patricia Arinto was appointed as Dean of the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) during the 1375th Board of Regents (BOR) meeting held on Nov. 10, 2022. 

The Philippine Genome Center Visayas launched its Bioinformatics Laboratory via Zoom last November 29, 2022. Eighty-eight institutions/ companies were represented during the program. Researchers and staff from PGC Diliman, PGC Mindanao, and UP Visayas also attended the online launch.

The University of the Philippines Visayas technologies, Mussel Glycogen and FILYRO Waste Solutions, were granted the Invention Disclosure Incentive (IDI) Award in Agham + Sining: UP Innovation and Knowledge Festival 2022 last Nov 28, 2022, at the UP Bonifacio Global City (BGC) campus.

Tuna Jerky developer and founder of Roselient Foods Manufacturing, Ms. Rose T. Mueda, signed a Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA) with the University of the Philippines Visayas  (UPV) at the ceremonial signing segment, Sealing the Future, of Agham + Sining: UP Innovation and Knowledge Festival 2022 last Nov 28, 2022, at the UP Bonifacio Global City (BGC) campus.

Local artists from Western Visayas and the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) and deed of donation (DOD) signifying the donation or loan of artifacts and artworks at the UPV Museum of Art and Cultural Heritage (UPV MACH), on Nov. 29.

The UPV CM team finished as first runner-up during the PANAnaw Awards: The PANAF Brand Communications Students’ Competition 2022 National Finals.
