The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) history organization Kamaragtas held a poster exhibit about Martial Law at the UPV Little Theater on Sep. 21, 2022.
In line with the University-wide commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law, a Public Forum titled “Looking Back and Living Through: Life Histories and Perspectives of Martial Law Survivors and their kin” was held at the UPV Little Theater on September 21, 8:00-12:00 PM. Speakers included Atty. Elias Guiloreza, Ms. May Wan Posa-Dominado, Ms. Estela Paredes, and Atty. Rea Faye Joy Guiloreza.
The Division of Professional Education held a meet and greet to welcome the graduate students enrolled in the various program offerings of the division for AY 2022-2023. The simple reception was held on September 17, 2022, at 1:30 PM, following the Graduate Program Orientation in the morning.
The UP Visayas Teaching and Learning Resource Center conducted its annual Bridge Program in Mathematics and English to incoming first year students, aiming to bridge the gap between Senior High School level exit skills and college level entry-level skills in the said subjects.
After two years, the Salomon Trail Run took place once again at the scenic campus of UP Visayas on September 17, 2022. UPV hosted the trail runs in 2018 and 2019, but the pandemic put many things on hold for the past two years, including race events.
More than 500 graduate students attended the face-to-face Graduate Orientation Program last Sept. 17, 2022, at the UP Visayas Auditorium, Iloilo City campus.
