Ma. Sheena M. Escordial, UP Visayas Valedictorian of Class 2018 has this to say to her fellow graduates.
The BS in Applied Mathematics major, from the College of Arts and Sciences, earned the distinction of graduating summa cum laude, from among her 900 plus peers.
Kim D. Limosnero garnered the highest GWA (magna cum laude) in the entire graduating Class 2018 of the UPV Tacloban College, making him the College’s valedictorian. The BS in Accountancy major also graduated valedictorian in high school.
Limosnero has a very active student life, participating and winning in various regional and national competitions such as search for outstanding accounting student, accounting quiz, accounting tournaments, and the likes.
Edsel Francis T. Lima, a BS in Accountancy major, leads the graduates of the College of Management graduating magna cum laude.
Most qualifiers for the UP College Admission Test are high school valedictorians, salutatorians, and honor graduates. Lima is no exception. He also graduated as valedictorian in the elementary and high school levels of the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City.
For having earned the highest GWA among her peers in the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, Kyle Iris C. Touzo, BS Fisheries, received the highest honor, graduating as magna cum laude.
The native of Surigao City said that she is very interested to further study the different ways biotechnology can be applied to aquaculture. She said her stay in UP has given her experience in planning and organizing lecture-fora and outreach programs.
