Stemming from an earnest desire to improve its services to UP Visayas (UPV) and its constituents, the Campus Maintenance and Development Office (CDMO) conducted an operations review on January 29-30, 2024 at the NAB conference room, Miagao campus. 

A successful turn over of donation to Onyok Magbanua, Tribal Chieftain of the Ati Community in Matag-ub, Janiuay, Iloilo, through the Panay Indigenous Culture Advocacy Group (PICAG), was made last December 22, 2023 as the chosen beneficiary by the CRM Conference 2023.

Cultural performances capped the three-day workshop on Island and Coastal Ecologies: A Sustainable Futures Initiative organized by UP Visayas and Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA). 

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) project team members led by its program manager, Dr. Harold Monteclaro, paid courtesy visits to three municipalities in Antique from January 24 to 25, 2024.

The Lim and Jardeleza families, through retired Assoc. Justice Francis Jardeleza, turned over seven adopted rooms to the University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) during a ceremony held at the UP Visayas Iloilo City campus on Jan. 25.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) hosted a workshop that brought together a diverse group of scholars and experts to critically examine emerging issues related to environmental dynamics within local coastal ecosystems and develop programs for sustainable futures. 

Dr. Harold Monteclaro was recently appointed by the UP Board of Regents as the Dean of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences in its 1386th meeting held at UP Baguio on January 25, 2024. 

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Health Services Unit (HSU) personnel are participating in the Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) training from January 24-26, 2024. 

The Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras (CMPG) Project team organized a series of  coordination meetings together with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), partner state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local government units (LGUs) from Panay and Guimaras at the Performing Arts Hall of the University of the Philippines Visayas Iloilo City campus from January 10-12, 2024.
