University of the Philippines Visayas Chancellor Clement C. Camposano hosted a fellowship dinner for UP Law graduates based in Western Visayas last Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. The recent 2020/2021 bar examinations passers Berne M. Facinal and Francine Beatrix Caram were recognized during the event held at the Performance Hall of the UPV Main Building.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) is collaborating with 8 Villa Beach and the Iloilo City Tourism and Development Office for the World Earth Day Celebration on April 22, 2022. 

• SDG 14: Life Below Water

Team Scallops of the Institute of Fish Processing Technology, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS-IFPT) trained local fisherfolks from Islas de Gigantes, a group of islands in the northernmost part of Carles, Province of Iloilo on value addition and good manufacturing practices for scallops on March 24, 2022.

Ms. Gerthrode Charlotte Tan-Mabilog of the Division of Professional Education, University of the Philippines Visayas (ProfEd-UPV) is the new director of the Information and Publications Office (IPO), effective April 8, 2022. 

The Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Visayas will host a fellowship dinner for the alumni of the UP College of Law who are in Western Visayas. 

Chancellor Clement C. Camposano has authorized the release of P50,000.00 from UPV UPdanay for the five municipalities affected by Typhoon Agaton: Ajuy, Dueñas, Concepcion, Lemery and San Dionisio. It will be coursed through the UPV alumni from these areas.

The iAmUPHi Alumni Group and UPAA Iloilo Chapter quickly responded to the call for help of Sara and Ajuy, Iloilo – two communities badly hit by Typhoon Agaton with its torrential rains and floods. 

• SDG 14: Life Below Water

The Institute of Fish Processing Technology (IFPT) conducted a two-week bridging program for graduating students of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS). 

The UP Visayas Ugnayan ng Pahinungod and Sadaan Elementary School in Midsayap, North Cotabato, held an online webinar on March 30, 2022, through a Zoom platform. Faculty members from the UPV Division of Professional Education served as resource persons. Prof. Lovella S. Divinagracia spoke on “Recalibrating Pedagogical Approaches in Preparation in Face-to-Face Instructions,” and Prof. Pepito R. Fernandez, Jr. spoke on “Interventions for Bridging Learning Gaps and Intensifying Learning Gains”.
