UPV sends immediate response to Northern Iloilo communities affected by Agaton

Chancellor Clement C. Camposano has authorized the release of P50,000.00 from UPV UPdanay for the five municipalities affected by Typhoon Agaton: Ajuy, Dueñas, Concepcion, Lemery and San Dionisio. It will be coursed through the UPV alumni from these areas.

UP Visayas, through the UPdanay Donation Drive, was also able to dispatch 21 packs of immediate relief assistance to Ajuy and other parts of Northern Iloilo.

These were coursed through alumni Atty. Gracious Espinosa and Atty. George Anotado, and the Iloilo Province LGUs. 

Initial donations in kind were received from the Daguman Family, UPAA Iloilo, Hamili-Hamilia, Dr. Isidoro Cruz, Prof. Ysabella Cainglet, Mr. Erwin Amaguin and family, Frances Nievales, and Limoso-Ramirez Family. 

Cash donations were received from Mr. John Vincent Alumbro, Dr. Isidoro Cruz, Ms. Honeylyn Francisco, Mr. Jay Martizano, Ms. Heidi Millamena, Prof. Mary Ann Naragdao, Prof. Benmar Panaguiton, Ms. Grace Palmos, Ms. Meriel Radloff, Mr. John Patrick Sayson, Ms. Franzine Glorie Tampos, Ms. Maria Geraldine Valasquez, and Ms. Deryn Ventilacion.

The UPdanay Donation Drive and Relief Distribution Committee, along with the assistance of the UPV Janitorial Services, were present to prepare and facilitate the transfer of donations.
