The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, UP Visayas (UPV-CFOS) led the conduct of a training workshop on the application of good manufacturing practices/ sanitation standard operating procedures (GMM/SSOP) for the small-scale production of fishery products and cooperative development and management to different Peoples’ Organizations (POs) in Northern Iloilo.

In line with the University-wide commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law, a Public Forum titled “Looking Back and Living Through: Life Histories and Perspectives of Martial Law Survivors and their kin” was held at the UPV Little Theater on September 21, 8:00-12:00 PM. Speakers included Atty. Elias Guiloreza, Ms. May Wan Posa-Dominado, Ms. Estela Paredes, and Atty. Rea Faye Joy Guiloreza.

In celebration of the 9th Hablon Festival with the theme: “Miagao Hablon: Panublion nga Dapat Ipadayon Para sa Pagbangon,” three faculty members of the University of the Philippines Visayas served as resource speakers last September 20, 2022, at the Justice Ramon B. Britanica Hall, Miagao, Iloilo.

The Division of Professional Education held a meet and greet to welcome the graduate students enrolled in the various program offerings of the division for AY 2022-2023. The simple reception was held on September 17, 2022, at 1:30 PM, following the Graduate Program Orientation in the morning.
