Josh Joel Tanchuan of the UPV Table Tennis Team claimed third place in the Men’s Singles A category at the 2024 RSCUAA meet last December 18.

An annual monitoring and evaluation of research projects implemented by the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) happened last December 2 and 3, 2024. In 2024, there is a total of 49 OVCRE-registered projects, 5 are in-house researches and 44 are externally-funded researches.

Returning on the court after 2019, the UPV tennis Team emerged triumphantly at the 2024 Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) VI Sports Festival. The team garnered a gold medal in the women's singles and two bronze medals in the men's singles and men's doubles, respectively.

The UPV Badminton Team continued its winning streak at the Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association VI (RSCUAA-VI) Sports Festival, clinching a gold medal in the men’s division, a bronze in the women’s division, and finishing as the men’s second runner-up overall. The competition, held at the Iloilo Tigers Badminton Center in La Paz, Iloilo City, ran from December 16 to 18.
