The Iloilo City Committee on Transportation will partner with the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) and the Iloilo City Government – Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) for a workshop-dialogue on traffic and road rules to be launched on Feb. 28.
A superb performance of the UP High School in Iloilo students through gongs and voice performances were showcased last February 21, 2023 at the 2023 Conference-Workshop on Indigenous Languages and Sustainable Development Goals organized by Talaytayan Multilingual Education, Tebtebba Foundation, ABC Plus, and hosted by UP Visayas. The concert also featured the Panay Bukidnons, as they showcased their traditional dance and oral narratives.
The Division of Professional Education participated in the weeklong celebration of the College of Arts and Sciences by having its own Open House on February 20, 2023. The event was participated in by the faculty members of the Division and UP High School in Iloilo and its students.
The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) of the UP Visayas College of Management won most of the academic competitions and was declared the Over-All Champion of the Academic League of the 18th Regional Mid-Year Convention (RMYC). The RMYC is an annual gathering of accountancy students in the region organized by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) Regional Chapter.
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) facilitated a press conference with the local media in Iloilo to disseminate information on Indigenous Languages and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), held at the Office of Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) Conference Room, UPV Iloilo City campus, on Feb. 21.
