Almost one month after the opening of the current academic year last September 10, 2020, the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences Student Council (CFOS-SC) thanked the faculty members and staff of the College for making remote learning bearable.

In the main campus of Miagao, a new library complex befitting an institution that continues to “shape the minds that shape the nation,” is being built on what is now considered as the new academic oval of the University of the Philippines Visayas.

UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center in collaboration with the Division of Humanities (HumDiv), Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM), and in partnership with the UP Open University (UPOU) offered its first remote Bridge Program.

Four faculty members will serve as vice-chancellors under the incoming administration of Chancellor Clement C. Camposano which will start on November 1, 2020. They are the following:

UP Visayas will unveil the plan for the new UPV Main Library Complex on October 7, 2020, at the Administration Main Lobby, UPV Miagao campus.

UP Visayas Antique Extension Campus will be in full swing this year. The project which aims to democratize admission and bring UP closer to the community was the brainchild of Deputy Speaker and Antique Representative Loren Legarda who provided allocation when she was yet a senator.

Despite the pandemic, TLRC continues to perform its mandate to enhance teaching and learning experiences.  

UP has finally marked its physical presence in the Province of Antique after the signing of the Deed of Donation for the lot and the ceremonial groundbreaking at the Pandan Municipal Hall and at Brgy. Nauring respectively on October 4, 2020. The project which aims to democratize admission to the national university and bring UP closer to the communities in northern Panay is the brainchild of Deputy Speaker and Antique Representative Loren Legarda who provided the allocation when she was still a senator.

Dr. Clement C. Camposano was appointed by the UP Board of Regents as the 11^th Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Visayas during its meeting on September 24, 2020.
