Prof. Encarnacion Emilia S. Yap, dean of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, UP Visayas (UPV-CFOS), was selected by the Climate Change Commission (CCC) as one of the members of its National Panel for Technical Experts (NPTE).

Two Master of Education in Social Studies students of the Division of Professional Education (ProfEd) represented the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) in the International Field School Program organized by the Asia-Pacific Higher Education Network for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (APHEN-ICH), Korea National University of Cultural Heritage, Buyeo, Republic of Korea from August 16-18, 2021.
