Dr. Philip Ian Padilla, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, along with Professors Josephine Firmase, Melanie Sartorio, and Alexander Porras, served as facilitators in the Policy Workshop for 11 Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province of Iloilo. The workshop, conducted on 9-11 November 2022, was supported by World Health Organization (WHO).

The Training of Trainers on the use of Noncommunicable (NCD) diseases flipchart was introduced to barangay health workers (BHWs) and health professionals in Capiz and Aklan provinces. Forty-three BHWs and health professionals, including nurses and midwives, attended the Training of Trainers, which aims to capacitate them in the NCD training rollout in their respective municipalities or barangays.

The UPV UPdanay, the donation committee of UP Visayas, reached out to our Panay Bukidnon Indigenous Peoples in Tapaz, Capiz, and communities in Antique and Aklan that were affected by flood when Typhoon Paeng hit the province on October 31, 2022. This was after the instruction from Chancellor Camposano to release funds from the UPdanay fund drive currently being managed by the UPV Foundation, Inc.

On November 9, 2022, Wednesday, the UPV OCEP conducted its second installment of the "Remedies & Reducing Business Risks” lecture series. The activity’s resource person was Atty. Aloysius Pacelli Dela Cruz II. Atty. Dela Cruz is a College of Management alumnus and currently a partner at the Treñas, Rubias, De La Cruz and Layson Law Offices.

The unprecedented shift from the traditional classroom-based learning setup to the remote learning mode of delivery of instruction following the COVID-19 pandemic posed some challenges to faculty members on how to deliver instruction to students without compromising desired course outcomes.
