The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) hosted the UP System’s Quality Assurance (QA) Committee and Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) meetings at the UPV Iloilo City campus on Nov. 7 and 8, respectively.
The Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs (VCAAs) from the constituent units of the UP System and their QA officers attended the said meetings.
Asst. Vice President for Academic Affairs Alyssa Peleo-Alampay presided over both meetings.
VCAA Dr. Philip Ian Padilla and Prof. Steve Janagap, Project Development Asst. for QA, represented UPV.
Likewise, those who attended the meetings were UP Baguio VCAA Rosemarie Gutierrez and Prof. Rizavel Addawe; UP Diliman VCAA Ma. Theresa Payongayong; UP Mindanao VCAA Anabelle Novero and Prof. Aurelia Luzviminda Gomez; UP Open University Asst. to the VCAA Mari Anjeli Crisanto; and UP Los Baños QA Office Director Dr. Nina Cadiz and Dr. Myra Borines.
Ms. Danica Grace Valdez and Ms. Rica Santos of the Office of the Asst. Vice President for Academic Affairs Office were also present.
The VCAAs and their QA officers gave detailed updates on their accomplishments and activities related to QA on the first day, while internal matters of the UP System were discussed on the second day.
