The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) facilitated a two-day Academic Program Improvement (API)-funded Workshop on the Implementation of Harmonized Policies and Procedures related to admission, student progress, and graduation, and the Implementation/ Roll-out of automated academic processes for the University of the P Philippines Visayas (UPV). The activity took place on September 5 and 6, 2024 at the Little Theater, UPV Iloilo City campus.
The Taklong Island Maritime Reserve (TINMAR) located in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras is one of the marine protected areas in the Philippines. Established to safeguard marine biodiversity in the region, the area is designated to conserve the marine biodiversity and safeguard the ecosystem found within its boundaries. TINMAR is also home to the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Marine Biological Station (MBS), which plays a crucial role in maintaining the protected area and promoting the conservation of marine resources.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Mary Grace C. Sedanza, faculty member of the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS-IA), University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) participated in the recently concluded 2024 US-PH Global Partnership Workshop held in-person on August 28-29, 2024 in Metro Manila.
