Artisanos in ArtisanKnows: Management students launch first phase of ArtisanRISE

ArtisanRise, a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting and empowering local artisan communities, marked its official launch with ArtisanKnows, a two-day capacity-building training program held at the University of the Philippines Visayas last October 14-15, 2023. Participants from three high schools in Iloilo City – Iloilo National High School, Ramon Avanceña National High School, and West Visayas State University - Integrated Laboratory School, participated in the training.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), through the Gender and Development Program (GDP) and together with the National Network on Women in Fisheries in the Philippines, Inc. (WINFISH), organized a benchmarking activity for the members of the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) Executive Committee of the Navotas City Government on 8 November 2023 at the UP Visayas, Iloilo City campus. Forty delegates participated in the activity.
