Students from the Philippine Science High School-Western Visayas Campus (PSHS-WVC) learned about fish biology for their science immersion program (SIP) at the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas, Miagao.

The Negros Museum in Bacolod City hosted nearly 300 educators from DepEd Special Program in the Arts (SPA) Schools across the Philippines for the Husay Sining: Program for Teachers in the Arts Training Structure last July 15-19, 2024.

The UPV Balay Balay Child Minding Center (BBCMC) conducted a Parents’ Orientation “Pagkilalahay 2024” on 30 July 2024 at the College of Management Building, UPV Iloilo City campus. The orientation was attended by parents, guardians and caregivers of children enrolled in BBCMC Iloilo City and Miagao campuses.  

Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Barotac Viejo Campus held its AY 2024-2025 In-Service Training for Faculty and Staff at the Sea Garden Resort in Leganes, Iloilo, on August 2, 2024, attributing to the crucial importance of educational transformation. 

The Office of the City Human Resource Management Officer organized a comprehensive Public Speaking and Presentation Skills Workshop at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Iloilo City last August 9, 2024. 

A study by Kenneth W. Thomas and Warren H. Schmidt revealed that managers spend 20% of their time dealing with conflict within the organization. Seeing the importance of conflict management as a vital skill among administrators in an educational institution, the Western Institute of Technology (WIT) invited Ms. Gerthrode Charlotte Tan-Mabilog, a faculty member of UP High School in Iloilo, Division of Professional Education, College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) to enhance the skills of its leaders. 

The Office of Student Affairs, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV-OSA) has helped prepare the incoming college students for their life on campus as “Iskolar ng Bayan.”
