As part of its commitment to public service, the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) unceasingly shares its expertise with various fisheries stakeholders, including private organizations and government institutions that seek assistance in the field of aquaculture, capture fisheries, fish processing, and fishery policies.
In collaboration with UP Visayas, the Iloilo City Government and the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iloilo City held the first-ever Iloilo City Transport Summit on 30 August 2022 at the UPV Little Theater, Iloilo City Campus. The summit brought together local government officials in the City and Province of Iloilo and stakeholders to identify concrete solutions to the current challenges surrounding the Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) transitioned to the new normal with face-to-face events for the 2022 UPV Alumni and Faculty Homecoming. It was the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic that the alumni were able to physically attend the homecoming events at the University and reunite with their classmates.
