Health outcomes improve through DOH, UPV and Zuellig partnership

The University of the Philippines Visayas, along with the Department of Health-Center for Development (DOH-CHD) 6 (Western Visayas), and Zuellig Family Foundation, held a colloquium ceremony of the Municipal Leadership and Governance Program (MLGP) Cycle 2 in Iloilo City On June 5, 2019. With the second cycle’s “Building Resilient Local Health Systems through Primary Health” as its theme, the program showcased their Local Government Units (LGUs) partner’s health challenges and leadership interventions to promote more resilient and responsive local health systems at the municipal level.

UPV-based TBI assists entrepreneurs in business process implementation

ILOILO, Philippines – Small Enterprises and Entrepreneurial Development Services Technology Business Incubator (SEEDS-TBI) conducted a series of Training Workshop on Comprehensive Entrepreneurial Process and Implementation at the University of the Philippines Visayas-Miagao and Iloilo City Campus, and in the municipalities of Pavia and Concepcion and Tinukib Jaro from June 1, 2018 - May 31, 2019.

Fish industrialist to address 2019 graduates of UP Visayas

imageFrancisco Tiu Laurel, Jr., the President of Frabelle Fishing Corporation will address the 2019 graduates during the 40th Commencement Exercises to be held on June 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the UP Visayas Miagao campus. Candidates for bachelors, masters and PhDs will be jointly conferred their degrees during the ceremony.

Pernito is UPV 2019 Class Valedictorian

imageAmethyl Mardin Pernito, a BS Fisheries graduate of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences earned the distinction of graduating as the Class 2019 Valedictorian of UP Visayas. She earned the highest GWA of 1.277, magna cum laude, from among 800 plus graduates.

Joenilo E. Paduhilao, II is this year’s top student of UPVTC
