UP Visayas is one of the partners of the Iloilo City government in implementing USAID Opportunity 2.0 Program: Second Chance Opportunity for Out of School Youth. The program gives opportunities for out of school youth's (OSY) further education, training for employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. 

Panubli, a Hiligaynon term which means “to inherit,” accurately describes what the Junior Executive Society, the flagship organization of UPV BS in Management, wanted to achieve through their initiative - the preservation of our rich and unparalleled cultural heritage. 

The Center for West Visayan Studies concluded the celebration of Heritage Month with a Lecture-Forum and Exhibit on May 30, 2023 (Tuesday), 9:00 AM – 12:00 NN, at the UPV Little Theater with the theme, “Heritage: Change and Continuity.” 

Mr. Michael Francis Villa of UP High School in Iloilo Class of 1991, together with some members of iAmUPHi, organized a bloodletting activity on May 27, 2023 at the UP Visayas covered court, Miagao campus. 

After a series of productive and engaging activities, the UPV Sibika Hub ended its year-long advocacy for this school year 2022-2023 with a public service workshop last May 27, 2023, at the GCEB Training room where the student leaders coming from the U.P. High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) and six DepEd schools namely; Iloilo City National High School (ICNHS), Jalandoni Memorial National High School (JMNHS), Jaro National High School (JNHS), La Paz National High School (LPNHS), Mandurriao National High School (MNHS), and Ramon Avanceña National High School (RANHS) took part.

The Institute of Marine Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS-IMFO), UP Visayas conducted a training on the assessment of coral reefs in the Province of Antique last May 24-26, 2023.
