UP Visayas (UPV) and San Joaquin School of Fisheries (SJSOF), a public high school in San Joaquin, Iloilo, renewed their engagement through the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on work immersion of senior high school learners.

Dr. Renato U. Solidum, Jr., Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary, together with DOST Officials visited DOST project sites and research facilities at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) last February 16, 2023.

The solar-powered drip irrigation system project of the University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) grade 8 students is among the 30 winners of the STEM Project Competition by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED).

Ten incubatees of the Coastline 5023: DOST PCAARD - UPV FTBI graduated during the Venture Out: Incubatee Graduation Ceremony held at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences AV Hall, Miagao campus, on Feb. 10.

Oyster growers from Negros Occidental sought the expertise of aquaculture specialists from the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, UP Visayas (UPV-CFOS) on oyster and mangrove crab culture.

A series of exhibitions of artworks by major Filipino artists, that include Juan Luna, Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo, and Fernando Amorsolo, among others, will be held in the UPV Museum of Art and Cultural Heritage (UPV MACH) later this year.
