The St. Theresa's College (STC) of Cebu visited the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Miagao campus for a benchmarking activity on June 14, 2024.

The University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) Senior Red Cross Youth Council was recently awarded a certification of recognition by the Red Cross Youth Philippines - Iloilo Chapter Awards for its exceptional service in recent events, specifically the UPV Pahampang and Yupisay Games 2023. UPHSI also received a Certificate of Responder Excellence.
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) DanceSport team joined and won awards at the first-ever UP System Oblation Sports – Dance Sport Championship 2024 hosted by UP Cebu last June 8-9, 2024 at the GMall, Cebu City. The two-day event was participated by the various dancesport teams in Cebu City and the country. The UP Closed DanceSport Championship is composed of various UP College Units namely, UP Cebu, UP Diliman, UP Mindanao, UP Tacloban College, and UP Visayas.
The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Food Safety Manual Project team, headed by Dr. Johannes M. Magpusao, launched its Participatory Food Safety Manual titled, "Food Safety and Community: A Practical Guide to Food Safety for Food Service MSMEs in Urbanized areas of Iloilo" on June 7, 2024 at the Performing Arts Hall, UP Visayas, Iloilo City.
Fisheries students of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV-CFOS) engaged with two fisherfolk associations in Miagao through the service-learning program, in partnership with the UPV Ugnayan ng Pahinungod/Oblation Corps (UP/OC), held on May 28 and 31.
UP Visayas (UPV) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region (DENR) VI signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the documentation of natural heritage in the Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras Project on June 3, 2024. On the same day, another Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Education (DepEd) VI was also signed at the UPV Performing Arts Hall, Iloilo City campus to extend the cultural mapping in Negros Occidental Province.
