A faculty member of the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, UP Visayas gave a plenary talk at the recently concluded 2024 National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Annual Scientific Conference and 21st Visayas Regional Assembly in Bacolod City. 

Four faculty members from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) recently participated in the ASMAR8 “Amplicon Sequencing Made Available for Region 8” training at PGC Visayas from July 8–12, 2024.

A total of 99 senior high school graduates of the University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) donned their sablay during the UPHSI 43rd Graduation Exercises held at the Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, on July 15, 2024. 

More than 150 participants in the hybrid training and workshop on the Cultural Mapping of Negros Occidental, organized by the University of the Philippines Visayas in Bacolod City and Kabankalan City, acquired vital skills in mapping and assessing the cultural properties with heritage value within their local communities.

The Second Year MEd ESL students of the University of the Philippines Visayas organized and conducted the first of a two-part Seminar Series titled "The Congruence of Supervision and Leadership: Keys to Effective Institutional Management" on July 13, 2024 at the Graduate and Continuing Education Building (GCEB) Training Rooms 1 and 2, UPV Campus Iloilo City from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Thirteen (13) faculty members from the Division of Social Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) served as resource speakers during the Learners’ Convergence Philippines 2024 held in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu from July 8-13.
