Faculty members, researchers, and students from UP Visayas (UPV) participated and won awards in the recently concluded 10th International Fisheries Symposium (IFS) and ASEAN Fisheries Education Network (ASEAN-FEN) in Vietnam.
“Thank you UPV Healthy Lifestyle and Wellness Committee for seeing us through the pandemic,” UPV Chancellor Clement Camposano said during his short message for the awarding of winners for the Christmas Fun Run. The Chancellor was referring to the various events that the Committee organized for the past two years such as the virtual run and virtual walk, dance movements, and Zoom lecture forums on: the COVID-19 vaccines, self-care for mental wellness, understanding and managing the transition of menopause and andropause.

The Cultural Mapping of Antique Project turned over a set of the project outputs in a compendium or set of books to UP Visayas through the Center for West Visayan Studies (CWVS). Dubbed Dunâ, Kinaíya kag Paranúblìon: A Cultural Registry of the Province of Antique, the books were received by UPV on December 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at the Performance Hall of the UPV Museum of Art and Culture Heritage.
The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) facilitated the online and in-person training on Student Academic Information System (SAIS) for University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) personnel. The College Secretaries and their staff, division/department/institute personnel involved in the enrollment, and the OUR and NSTP staff participated in the training that lasted for more than a week.
