A team composed of a UPV Physical Education professor, students, and staff won medals and ranked 2nd place in the overall championship in the recently concluded 2022 National Larong Pinoy Invitational Open Virtual Anyo and Skills Arnis Championship held on February 13, 2022. 

A presentation for the preservation of Handumanan Project for the preservation of two heritage structures at the Iloilo City campus was conducted through Zoom and face-to-face setup on February 9, 2022.

The University of the Philippines Visayas signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the UPV alumni groups for the donation and setting up of a solar grid at the UPV Iloilo City campus.
