UPV Antique structure almost halfway to completion

The UP Visayas Extension Campus in Antique has reached 48.43% of completion as of May 14, 2022, and is expected to be finished by September 2022. The 900 square meters three-story structure has allocated rooms for classrooms, offices, training spaces, and a conference room.

The basic facilities and the presence of this structure in Pandan, Antique will catalyze the engagements among CUs in the UP System, local academic institutions, and LGU partners.

The campus, which was envisioned by the UP System to cater to HEIs, SUCs, and universities in Antique and neighboring areas, is expected to welcome students and trainees in the near future.

The initiative was a brainchild of Deputy Speaker and Antique Representative Loren Legarda, who was once again elected to the Senate of the Philippines during the May 9, 2022 elections.

The P50-million three-story building of the University of the Philippines’ Extension Campus in Brgy. Nauring, Pandan in Antique Province is situated on a property donated by the Bautista Family of Pandan.
