A sea of colors and excitement filled the streets of UP Visayas as the UPV School of Technology (SoTech) celebrates its 37th Foundation Week face-to-face for the first time in three years.
The celebration kicked off with the most anticipated SOTECH RunAsOne 2.0: Color Run, which was held on Saturday morning, March 25. More than 150 students, faculty, staff, and alumni composed of SOTECH and other UPV constituents, gathered in the UPV Covered Court Gym to participate in the Color Run featuring a 3.7 km distance, painting the streets of the University with vibrant colors and cheerful smiles from the participants.
“I am very happy because for how many years, we were able to experience the Foundation Week face-to-face. I also didn’t expect that I would finish as one of the top three runners in the race,” Tomas Momville said, the sole staff among the top three finishers.
Zhawn Latumbo was the fastest to cross the finish line, Angel Alberto bagged the second place, while Tomas Momville grabbed the third place award.
