Select UP Visayas personnel were given the 2019 Chancellor is Award for Outstanding Performance.
In a formal ceremony held at the UPV Little Theater on February 18, 2019, the awardees were awarded medals, Certificates of Recognition, and cash grants.
Outstanding Administrative personnel were the following: Mr. Reynaldo T. Nuñeza, Administrative Aide III, Institute of Aquaculture College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS); Ms. Rosana G. Alama, Laboratory Technician II, Institute of Fish Processing Technology (CFOS); Ms. Victoria S. Mogut, Office of the College Secretary, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS); and Ms. Evelyn T. Tidon, Administrative Officer V, Office of the Dean, College of Management (CM).
Outstanding Research and Extension Personnel were the following: Ms. Genna D. Serofia, University Extension Specialist, Institute of Fisheries Policy and Development Studies (CFOS) for Extension Category; and Ms. Ernestina M. Peralta, (IFPT-CFOS) for the Research Category.
The Outstanding Faculty Members were the following: Dr. Dennis C. Ong, School of Technology, Instructor Category; Dr. Harold M. Monteclaro Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanology (IMFO-CFOS), Assistant Professor Category; Dr. Nathaniel C. Añasco (IMFO-CFOS), Associate Professor Category; and Prof. Encarnacion Emilia S. Yap (IFPT – CFOS), Professor Category.
The 2019 Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement was given to Dr. Rex Ferdinand M. Traifalgar Institute of Aquaculture (CFOS).
The Awarding Ceremony coincided with the 72nd Anniversary of the UP Presence in Iloilo.
