Dr. Maria Cynthia Rose B. Bautista, University of the Philippines' Vice President for Academic Affairs, will address the graduates of UP Visayas in its first face-to-face Commencement Exercises after the pandemic. The 43rd Commencement Exercises will be held at the Oblation Plaza of the University of the Philippines Visayas, Iloilo City Campus, on July 21, 2022, at 4:30 in the afternoon.

The project “Safety Assessment of Food Establishments towards an Oysterrific Tourist Experience in Iloilo City” under the CHED funded program Tourism Studies on Island-Based Opportunities for Growth (TSIBOG), conducted a 2-day workshop on “Microbiological Analysis of Food” with the faculty members of the Department of Home Technology, College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Science (CAFES), Aklan State University (ASU). The workshop was held at the SAS Microbiology Laboratory, Aklan State University, Banga, Aklan last July 6-7, 2022.

Prof. Martin Genodepa, Director of the Office of Initiatives for Culture and the Arts, is one of the grantees of the Bagong Biswal 2022 awarded by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Visual Arts, for his sculpture installation of welded steel called Memorial Park: Missing the Crowd.
