UP Visayas recognized 20 individuals and organizations outside of the University combined for their invaluable contributions to the pandemic response efforts initiated in 2020 and 2021. The program dubbed UPV Pandemic Heroes was held last 19 August 2022 at the Little Theater, Iloilo City Campus. 

A commemorative book, “Padayon nga Maragtas sang UP Visayas: 75 Years of the UP Presence in Iloilo and Beyond,” was launched in Iloilo City last August 19, 2022.

The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas, looked into the transformations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country’s fisheries industry.

UP Visayas officials sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI officers yesterday, 22 August 2022,  to capacitate Local Government Units (LGUs) on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation and Disaster Risk Reduction.

The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas, launched an exhibit to showcase various Intellectual Properties (IPs) that have been registered through the years. 

The UP College of Law alumni based in Western Visayas, along with students currently studying in the UPD College of Law extension classes in Iloilo, welcomed UP President Danilo L. Concepcion and his wife Atty. Gabriela “Gaby” Concepcion, at the Main Building, Iloilo City Campus, last 21 August 2022, for an intimate fellowship. 

“Schedule your worrying, then put it at the back of your mind. Accept it. Incorporate what you are worried about into your schedule. Brainstorm for solutions alone or collaborate with others. Do not procrastinate. If you need to do something, schedule it immediately into your day or week,” said Leah Florence C. Adricula-Sicad, MD, during an online lecture forum on Maintaining Mental Wellness held on August 10, 2022, organized by the UPV Healthy Lifestyle and Wellness Committee.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs held an activity entitled Workshop on Program Redesign, Blended Learning and Quality Assurance on 12 August 2022 at the UPV Little Theater, Iloilo City Campus.
