To welcome the new and continuing students to the new academic year, the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) held an Opening Exercises for AY 2023-2024 at the AV Hall, Pidlaoan Building, UP Visayas, Miagao on August 24, 2023.

The heavy downpour started in the wee hours of the morning and continued by daybreak although it was reduced to light rain. But this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants of Run UP 12 who gathered at the Oblation Plaza of UP Visayas, Iloilo City campus on August 19, 2023. 

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) extension campus in Pandan town, Antique will be inaugurated tomorrow, Aug. 25, 2023.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Extension Campus in Antique formally opened its doors to Antiqueños and nearby communities after the inauguration ceremony in Brgy. Nauring, Pandan, Antique on August 25, 2023. 

A total of forty-one beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) are trained on financial literacy through the conduct of Capacity Enhancement for the Beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development held at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Iloilo City Campus, GCEB Training Rooms 1 and 2, August 15, 2023. 

After a fun-filled week dedicated to rekindle and further strengthen ties among alumni, the 2023 University of the Philippines (UP) Alumni and Faculty Homecoming ended with the get-together of several jubilarian batches for a dinner-program and the awarding of outstanding professionals.

The UP Visayas alumni were treated to a series of face-to-face events in the 2023 UPV Homecoming. The main highlights were held from August 18 to 20, 2023 in the UPV Iloilo City Campus.

Twenty-two graduates from the University of the Philippines Visayas School of Technology (UPV SOTECH) successfully passed the August 2023 Licensure Examination for Food Technologists held in various testing centers nationwide, specifically located at National Capital Region, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, and Zamboanga last August 10-11, 2023, with Ms. Mary Denize Celine Portal, PFT, bagging the ninth (9th) spot in the roll of successful examinees after posting an 84.75% personal rating.

The UPV Balay Balay Child Minding Center (BBCMC) conducted a Parents’ Orientation on August 18, 2023 at the College of Management rooms, UPV Iloilo City campus. It was attended by parents, guardians, and caregivers of children admitted to BBCMC Iloilo City and Miagao campuses.
