Two teams composed of seven third year BS in Management students from the College of Management, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) clinched two spots in the Top 10 of the Blue Case Competition (BCC) 2025: HorizonShift. The finals stage was held last 12 April 2025 at the Globe Tower, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila. 

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) held its 2024 Year-End Assessment and 2025 Strategic Planning Workshop on April 10–11, 2025, at District 21 Hotel, Iloilo City. The event was attended by representatives from OVCRE’s supervised units, as well as research and public service coordinators from the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV).

In a powerful stand against gender-based violence and injustices, the Women’s Month advocacy event “Usapang Lakas at BATAS: Kita Tanan, Patas” took place in Brgy. Balabag, Dumangas, Iloilo on March 30, 2025, accumulating 25 participants.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) conducted the Town Hall Meeting on Research-related Activities last April 2, 2025 at the CFOS AV Hall, UP Visayas, Miagao, Iloilo. 

In celebration of the 2025 National Women's Month, the Social Science 5 Section 5 class under Prof. Mary Barby P. Badayos-Jover convened at Miagao National High School to conduct a seminar titled “Empower, Heal, Support: Breaking the Silence on Gender-Based Violence.”

Faculty members from the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) participated in the External Quality Assurance (EQA) Clinic (Batch 1) conducted by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs in coordination with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and UPV QA Committee last 1-2 April 2025 at the GCEB Training Rooms, UPV Iloilo City campus.
