The University of the Philippines System Fiscal Policies and Operations Committee (UP SFPOC) and the Human Resources Development Office (HRDO) chiefs of the various constituent units (CUs) of the UP System held their respective meetings at UP Visayas, Miagao campus, recently.
UPV Vice Chancellor for Administration Prof. John Lorenz Belanio welcomed the HRDO chiefs to UPV before the meeting on Jan. 20 at the Faculty Center, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. HRDO Chief Ella Tidon represented UPV.
Belanio and his fellow Vice Chancellors for Administration and SFPOC members convened on Jan. 23 for a meeting at the Faculty Center.
UP Vice President for Administration Nestor Yunque presided over both meetings. Those who were unable to go to Miagao attended the meetings via Zoom.
On Jan. 21, Chancellor Clement Camposano hosted a dinner for the participants and guests at the UPV Performance Hall, Main Building, Iloilo City campus.
Meanwhile, the two groups toured the Miagao campus separately. Their tour included a visit to the Administration Building, staff house and dormitories, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences facilities, School of Technology, and Regional Research Center, among others.
As part of the tour, the groups also visited the famous Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish Church or the Miagao Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
