The University of the Philippines Board of Regents, in its 1394th meeting held on 29 October 2024, approved the appointment of Prof. Christopher B. Honorario as Dean of the College of Management (CM) of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) from 29 October 2024 to 28 October 2027.
Honorario was the lone nominee during the search process for the next Dean of the College. He was the Dean of CM from 30 September 2021 to 29 September 2024. Prior to heading the College, he has held various leadership roles in the University, including Chairperson of the Department of Accounting from 2016 to 2021 and the OIC Dean of the College on various occasions from 2017 to 2021. Moreover, he has served as Member and Vice-Chair of the UPV Bids and Awards Committee and is presently a Board of Trustee of the UP Provident Fund.
Apart from teaching in UPV for the past 14 years, Honorario is also a Certified Public Accountant and a lawyer. He finished his BS in Accountancy and Master of Management major in Business Management (MMBM) degrees at UPV.
