The Dampig Baybay Program of the UPV Ugnayan ng Pahinungód/Oblation Corps concluded its three-day activity at the Concepcion Sports and Cultural Complex, Concepcion, Iloilo, last July 7, 2023.
The Coastal Resource Management program, led by Philippine Earth and Justice Center, ended with a simulation wherein the participants were asked to apply their learnings on the discussion on law enforcement of municipal waters policies and regulations.
Similarly, the Disaster Risk Reduction Management program, spearheaded by UP Manila Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, culminated with a rescue simulation which allowed the participants to practice their basic lifesaving, emergency response, and outdoor medicine skills.
The closing program was held at the same venue. Participating individuals from the Municipalities of Ajuy and Concepcion were given certificates of participation. Similarly, partners from PEJC and UP Manila were given tokens and certificates of appreciation by the UPV UP/OC Director Dr. Farisal U. Bagsit.
The Dampig Baybay is the flagship program of UPV UP/OC.
