The nine teams competing at this year’s University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Pahampang renew their quest to be crowned as champions.
UPV’s annual sports tournament, organized by the UPV University Student Council and the Pahampang Tournament Board, in partnership with student organizations, officially began on March 8, 2025.
Right after the opening program at the UPV Covered Court, Miagao campus, the teams wasted no time tallying points on the scoreboard by competing in the Larong Pinoy. This was followed by a series of ball games played over the weekend.
The partial and unofficial scoreboard showed that Skimmers lead the pack as of March 10, garnering 108 points in the first two days of the UPV Pahampang 2025.
Bluechips and Redbolts are tied for second place with scores of 43.75. Rounding out the top five are Fisheries and Ugyon with 41.75 and 34 points, respectively.
Teams look to dethrone Ugyon and spoil their bid for a three-peat. The theme for this year’s Pahampang is "Unity in Motion: Bridging Strength and Sports.”
