The UP Visayas University Library welcomes its two (2) new personnel effective 25 March 2021.
Ms. Jenny Vebs E. Endencio was hired as administrative Aide IV. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at West Visayas State University, LaPaz, Iloilo, in 2013.
Ms. Endencio previously worked as a Library staff at Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Miagao campus. While working, she took her Master of Science in Industrial Education major in Educational Management (on-going) at the same school where she was employed.
Ms. Endencio is in charge of office records maintenance and management.
On the other hand, Ms. Rosemarie M. Canson, RL, MLIS, was hired as College Librarian II. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Library Science at West Visayas State University (WVSU), and Master in Library and Information Science with specialization in Library and Archives Management at University of the Philippines Diliman.
Before working with UPV Library, Ms. Canson was formerly Chief Librarian of John B. Lacson Maritime University for 17 years; Computer Files Librarian at Iloilo Provincial Government Library for 3 years; and Librarian and Faculty of Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS) at Central Philippine University.
Ms. Canson is Head of the Technical Section with additional assignments as Acquisition Librarian and in-charge of the Virtual Reference Service of the library.
