Prof. Jonevee B. Amparo was appointed Overall-Coordinator of the UP Visayas Sentro ng Wikang Filipino effective Oct. 1, 2022 until January 31, 2024.
She is currently an Assistant Professor at the UP High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) where she handles subjects on Filipino Language Communication, Research on Filipino Language and Culture, including : Komunikatibong Kasanayan at Panitikang Rehiyonal; Maunlad na Kasanayang Komunikatibo at Panitikang Pambansa, Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Filipino, Pagbasa at Pagsuri ng Iba’t Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik, Pagtamo ng Wika: Mga Teoriya, Prinsipyo at Pagsaliksik, Pagtuturo ng Pangalawang Wika, Seminar: Leksikograpiya ng Wikang Pambansa, and Special Problem in Education.
She finished her Master of Arts (Filipino: Wika) from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Secondary Education (Major in Filipino), magna cum laude, from the West Visayas State University in 2012.
She has an extensive involvement in research and has participated in various conferences as a presenter at both local and international academic conferences. Her publications and specializations are in the areas of Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education.
Amparo was previously appointed Assistant to the Principal of UPHSI from 2018 until 2021.
