The Office of Student Affairs held the first-ever remote Orientation in the face of the new normal. Amidst the challenges brought by the pandemic, UPV still holds true to its virtue that “nobody should be left behind.” Despite the growing pains, this activity was conducted to ensure that the newest members of the UPV family, along with their parents, are given the necessary information about the university.
Edmar D. Bandoja graduated as magna cum laude in the five-year BS in Accountancy degree program of the College of Management. With a GWA of 1.332, he has attained the highest mark in his college, and the second highest in UPV.

The UP Board of Regents on its July 30, 2020 meeting approved the graduation of 290 graduates from midyear/third trimester 2018-2019 to second semester/trimester 2019-2020. The graduates earned their respective degrees in baccalaureate, post-baccalaureate, master, and doctoral levels. Of the graduating class, 28 were honor graduates with three magna cum laude latin honors and 25 cum laude latin honors.
“Graduating as valedictorian this year seems to be anticlimactic due to the pandemic, nevertheless it is still a blessing for me to receive this distinction. It is quite sad for me since we were not able to march this year and celebrate with our families and friends. As we will be joining the graduation rites of our friends who are graduating next year, I am hopeful that things will be better by then.
