The University of the Philippines Visayas recognized the invaluable contributions of its academic and administrative personnel, who rendered 25 years of service, during a formal program held at the UPV Auditorium on 03 August 2022. The Service Awards 2022 also honored the retirees, who have rendered at least 15 years of service. 

Dr. Rowena Paz Gelvezon was recently appointed as the Dean of the Graduate School of UP Visayas during the 1372nd Meeting of the UP Board of Regents held on July 28, 2022.

The University of the Philippines Visayas hosted one of the parallel sessions of the recently concluded ENERCON 2022: The 3rd International Conference on Energy and Environmental Economics. Organized by the Department of Economics in UPLB, this year’s conference focused on “Harnessing Sustainable Energy and Ensuring Resilient Environments Toward Economic Recovery.” The event was held via Zoom on 28-29 July 2022. 

The College of Management, UP Visayas, conducted a Research Webinar-Workshop Series virtually via Zoom last June 23, 2022. The two-part webinar series with the theme “Strengthening Competencies & Discovering Opportunities in Research” focused on literature review and was attended by members of the faculty and staff of the College.
