The UP Visayas University Library received a grant from UPMASA in the amount of 1.2 million pesos for the set up of the UPV Archives Section in the new UPV Library building. The project was made possible on the initiative of Ms. Analiza G. Linaugo, University Librarian, and through the effort of UPMASA with the help of Mrs. Elvie Estampador-Gildea and Dr. Nerita Ulep.
The College of Management, UP Visayas, conducted a Research Forum last March 29, 2023. The event with the theme “Evolving Landscapes of Management Research” served as a venue for the faculty members to present their recently completed research endeavors. The forum was held at the CM Building, UPV Iloilo City campus, and was attended by members of the faculty, staff, and students of the College.
UP Visayas is partnering with the Miagao LGU under the leaderhsip of Mayor Richard Garin and the office of Congresswoman Janette Loreto-Garin to construct a P70 million road project thru the General Appropriations Act of 2023. The infrastructure project known as the “Constructions of UP Visayas Road Leading to Academic Institutions, Miagao, Iloilo” is one of the priority initiatives of Cong. Loreto-Garin and will commence during the term of Chancellor Clement C. Camposano.
Represented by Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Dr. Harold M. Monteclaro and Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) Director, Dr. Reynold D. Tan, UP Visayas signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the GRF-Hublag Microfinance Foundation, Inc. with Ms. Helen Rose Reyes and Mr. Elvin Dadivas as representative last March 28, 2023 at UPV, Iloilo City campus.
