The Property Services Office (SPSO) will utilize the eProcure platform for the online procurement processes of UP Visayas starting October 2024 until the new procurement management system is fully operationalized. This is in light of the upcoming phase out of the University Information System (UIS) to implement the digital transformation program of the UP System.
In celebration of UP Visayas' long-standing presence and commitment to environmental stewardship in Iloilo, the University officially launched its Coastal Cleanup Campaign. The kick-off event, held on September 21, 2024, brought together students, faculty, staff, and community volunteers to clean up the coastline actively. This coincided with the International Coastal Cleanup Day, first celebrated by Ocean Conservancy in 1986 and is held every third Saturday of September annually.

The Transportation Science Society of the Philippines (TSSP), in collaboration with the City Government of Iloilo and the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), hosted the 30th Annual Conference of the TSSP on September 13, 2024 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City. The theme of the conference was "Sustainable Transport and Mobility Choices for Healthier Cities.”
This 2024, the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) celebrates the 77th year of UP presence in Iloilo with a simple opening activity during the 2024 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) to be held in Arevalo this coming 21 September, together with several volunteer organizations. The UPV Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, a volunteer service program directly under the Office of the Chancellor, and its volunteers will represent UPV during the cleanup.
