Three professors of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) are part of the international publication titled “Illuminating Hidden Harvests – The contributions of small-scale fisheries to sustainable development.”
Dr. Alice Joan Ferrer, College of Arts and Sciences Dean and TBTI Philippines Project Manager; Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Harold Monteclaro; and Dr. Wilfredo Campos contributed to the nine-chapter report co-published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Duke University, and WorldFish, a social media post from TBTI Philippines said.
Ferrer particularly contributed to the chapter titled “Towards gender inclusivity and equality in small-scale fisheries.” She is one of the 29 gender advisors from 21 countries who contributed to the said chapter.
Dr. Sarah Harper from the University of Victoria and Dr. Danika Kiebler of James Cook University wrote the chapter.
